Wednesday - Shakesspeare's Tragedy of Julius Caesar

Objective: By the end of class, students will analyze character traits and begin to read / analyze the Tragedy of Julius Caesar in order to improve reading comprehensive skills.

DO NOW 

Look at the character traits you wrote down yesterday for Caesar, Brutus, Cassius and Marc Antony. Do the words that describe them have negative or positive connotations? Or are some neutral? Be specific for each character.

Direct Instruction

Review characters and how Shakespeare portrays them.

Read introduction and background information on pages 329  - 330 in soft holt text.
