Thursday, April 24 - TONE and MOOD

Objective: By the end of class, students will analyze MOOD and TONE and practice keystone terms in order to improve vocabulary and communication skills.

Read from 'The Eyes Have it" and annotate. Make comments as well in margins. Especially pay attention to TONE and MOOD.

Independent

Answer the multiple choice questions following the story. For #4, use your best writing skills. Assume the word  "EXPLAIN" is "ANALYZE." So, start by tagging. Then provide evidence (examples) from the text. Then explain in your own words how it adds a humorous tone.
