Complete reading Into thin Air - pages - 359-362. Addto list of "mistakes" as we read.

Choose one of the mistakes (causes) that we listed. Use the graphic organizer to determine all of the effects that occurred from that mistake.
Use the graphic organizer to turn this into a three paragraph cause / effect essay.
Example:
Opening paragraph - Into Thin Air is a true account of the events that occurred on Mount Everest in May 1996. Many bad decisions were made during that climb and 8 people lost their lives. One bad decision that was made was when .........
Paragraph 2 - explain the effects of the bad decision (cause)
Conclusion - suggest other possible outcomes if a different decision (cause) occurred. What may have happened differently?

What was the purpose of the riot and were the people successful in achieving their goal? (was their purpose to bring awareness, change, to mourn, to rebel, was it racial or class driven/)
